Steps for Giving Yourself Manicure
Follow these easy steps to give yourself an amazing manicure:
Cleaning – Firstly, get rid of your old nail polish. This can be done with the help of a cotton ball and nail polish remover. Dip the cotton ball in the polish remover and gently rub it across the polished nails, so as to remove the nail polish.
Shaping – Shape the nails with the help of a nail file. Square and oval are two common nail shapes which a majority of people tend choose. Oval nail shape suits those who have short fingers, where as the squared nails suit those with long fingers.
Treating Cuticles and Nails – Take some cuticle oil and rub it onto your nail cuticles and nail bed. Leave the oil for about 5 minutes so that it gets soaked. In a bowl, pour some lukewarm water and add about 2 scoops of nail soak of your choice. Now, soak your hands in this water for about 10 minutes. The next step is to exfoliate the hands. Take some exfoliant and scrub it over your hands very gently. Rinse your hands and towel-dry it. Apply a nice moisturizer and treat yourself to a nice massage.
Polishing Nails – Now, put on a thin layer of base coat and allow it to dry. Put on two coats of any nail polish color of your choice. The second coat has to be applied only after the first coat has dried completely. Finish your manicure look by putting on a layer of top coat.
Once you are done with manicure steps, clean your manicure tools using a disinfectant. It is better not to share the tools with anyone else to stay away from infections.
