  • Tea Tree Oil – Using a cotton swab, apply diluted tea tree oil to the acne and leave overnight. This is very effective for mild to severe acne. It works as antifungal and antiseptic and reduces acne.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar – Applying cider vinegar directly to the affected skin provides immediate relief, if it is mild acne. Another option is taking steam in a pot of boiled water with a cup of vinegar added to it. It works as an antibacterial and normalizes the pH of the skin.
  • Oatmeal and Honey – Take half a cup of cooked oatmeal and a little honey. Mix them and apply this paste to the affected skin. Leave for about 10 – 15 minutes and wash away with lukewarm water. It has antiseptic properties that help in treating acne and reduces oiliness of the skin.
