Hip Arthritis Symptoms:
Initially, hip arthritis can have some subtle symptoms. Hip pain is the primary symptom. It is not restricted to hips, it may radiate to thighs. Those suffering from hip arthritis may show varying episodes of pain such as weather conditions cause the onset of signs or restrict the same. Usually, cold weather aggravates the hip joint pain. As the years pass, the pain aggravates and worsens the condition.

At times, the hip joints may become stiff. The cartilage which covers thigh bone head wears out gradually. It results in the rubbing of bones against each other. It results in inflammation and stiffness.

The range rotation decreases as the disease progresses. It becomes difficult to bend and the movement of hip also decreases. Prolonged sitting aggravates the condition.

Most people with this condition walk using a limp. Some patients feel like one of their legs has became shorter compared to other. While walking, they feel or hear a crackling noise in hip joint. It becomes a difficult task to walk. The pain reduces if they take frequent breaks while walking.

Hip Arthritis Treatment:
If a patient is obese, he is suggested to reduce weight. Weight loss lowers stress on joints and thus, it becomes easy to do regular chores. Also, patients are suggested to use walking aids for reducing weight on afflicted area. In order to decrease atrophy, physical therapy is given. For decreasing pain, medical practitioners may suggest anti-inflammatory drugs. Hip replacement therapy is performed in certain cases.
