Watch Out!!! Sex Might Cause a Heart Attack!!!
According to the US researchers, sudden episodes of average to intense physical activities like jogging or even having sex can significantly increase heart attack risk. This holds true for people who do not lead an active life. It is a known fact that the physical activity might cause heart problems. But this study can quantify the risk involved in abrupt physical activities.
Dr. Issa Dahabreh from the Tufts Medical Center, Boston, and the team studied the data collected from 14 earlier studies. They studied the link between exercising, having sex and the heart attack risk. The researchers found that individuals are 3.5 times at a higher risk of a heart attack or sudden cardiac death during exercise session than when they are relaxing. They are 2.7 times at a higher risk of heart attack when having sex or soon after the session than when they are not.
However, the study does not say that exercise or having sex is bad for health. Instead the researchers suggest that if one intends to start any exercise program then it should be done gradually and increase the intensity slowly over a period of time. The study is published in Journal of the American Medical Association.
