Simple Lifestyle Changes can Prevent Different Types of Cancer
According to the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) and the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) making certain simple lifestyle changes can prevent around 40% breast cancer and other types of cancers. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world. Every year about 12.7 million people are diagnosed with cancer and about 7.6 million die due to some kind of cancer. In such a scenario, this simple solution might help in preventing the disease.
As per the World Health Organisation (WHO) lack of physical activity is one of the main causes in about 21 to 25% breast cancer and colon cancer. This can be avoided by taking 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week. 30 minute walk five days a week or cycling to work is recommended by WHO.
Rachel Thompson, the deputy head of Science WCRF, said that the simple ways to avoid cancers are: not smoking, eating healthy food and maintaining a healthy weight. Is it so difficult to achieve?
