Big Breakfast Myth Exposed

Many dieters believe that a big breakfast can make them eat less during subsequent meals. This belief has been exposed to be a myth by a German study. It found that a big breakfast only added to the total amount of calories consumed during the day.

The size of breakfast, big or small, did not have any impact on later meals. This research has been published in Nutrition Journal. Therefore, dieters should keep in mind that if they wish to lose weight, they should consume a light breakfast.

The author of the study, Dr. Volker Schusdziarra, encourages those who skip breakfast to continue their habit. He says that breakfast only adds calories, which are not compensated at later meals.
