Tylenol Products Being Recalled
Several Tylenol products that were manufactured at the McNeil plant in Pennsylvania are being voluntarily recalled by the McNeil Consumer Healthcare, the marketeer for Tylenol line of products.
The products that are being recalled are the Tylenol upper respiratory products, Benadryl, Tylenol Arthritis Pain, Tylenol 8 Hour and the Sinutab and Sudafed products. These products which have been distributed across America, Brazil and the Caribbean are now being recalled as they were manufactured at the plant that was shut down on the grounds of insufficient cleaning procedures.
The McNiel Laboratories although insist that these products are completely safe and their recalling is only a precautionary measure. The company has stated that this initiative has been taken after the quality procedures of the company was reviewed and insist that the medicines were not impacted in any way.
Along with these, the company has also recalled Rolaids Multi-Symptom Berry Tablets that were distributed in the US for relabeling. The company has stated that, “this move was initiated because the product does not include the language”. The present label does not meet the regulations of the United States Pharmacopeia due to this.
Over the past one year the company has recalled around 288 million of its items which also included 136 million liquid Tylenol bottles due to which it is now under scrutiny.
