Beast-kept travel secrets revealed – hidden islands
Read on to discover some traveling treats that are peaceful and tranquil, offering freedom from large hordes of tourists and noisy crowds.

Koufonisia Island, Greece: This is one of hundreds of unknown islands in Greece. It is a part of the Cyclades group of islands. Of all the Greek islands, this one is possibly one of the most deserted and tranquil places to go to. It is extremely relaxing as this island only has a few guest houses and nothing else. Even the restaurant is a boat-ride away and is the only one around.

The sea is a rich turquoise that is sure to take away all your stress instantly. You can get naked and take a relaxing sunbath in private coves that are completely deserted with no one around to disturb you. This is the place for you if you wish to be away from crowds and just laze around doing nothing.

Bozcaada Island, Turkey: This island is close to the Greek islands and is one of the only two inhabited Turkish islands a bit off the west coast in the Aegean sea. It has a small village and does not get many tourists. It is a very small obscure-looking island. The main industries here are wines and fisheries along with a bit of tourism.

The island is covered with wine vineyards that cover the sunny slopes. Most of the people here are locals who are there on vacation themselves. The whole atmosphere is very chilled out and relaxing. This is the place for you if you wish to get away from crowds and enjoy some fine wine on the seaside along with mouth watering local delicacies.

Rangiroa, Tahiti: This island is part of the Tuamoto Archipelago and is just an hour by flight from Tahiti. It is sometimes known as “the island of the long sky”. It is the second tallest atoll in the world that creates an almost unending stretch of turquoise sea. It appears as a string of pearls in the sea when seen from the sky.

You can indulge in a lot of interesting and adventurous activities here. The Tiputa pass, which is the opening from the lagoon to the sea, is a treat to divers and those interested in marine life. It has, and this is no exaggeration, hundreds of sharks – white-tip, black-tip, gray, nurse and lemon sharks.

Other than this, you can also go snorkeling that is one of the best in the world and see huge schools of dolphins. There are some places to stay that do not have electricity but are places that offer complete solitude and absolute bliss.

Dominica, Carribean: This island is very close to the more popular islands in the Caribbean but does not get many tourists. It is covered, for the most part, with lush green rain-forest. It also has a lake that keeps bubbling and boiling due to active volcanoes in the region. This is the place where a large part of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies were filmed.

It is a small island that is dotted by almost 400 rivers, waterfalls and springs. Then there is the Morne Trois Pitons National park, which is a world heritage sight. It has an awe-inspiring beauty to it, with an amazing variety in landscapes that are part rain-forest and part volcano scenery. It is the perfect place for you if you wish to get away from crowds and tourists and wish to be amidst nature.

Black Island, Philippines: This is an island that is not so popular with most tourists due to its distance from the main town of Palawan. This island is an expanse of black with white sand beaches that stand out in the clear blue-green seas of this region.

This island has amazing coral reefs and a wide variety of colorful fishes in the sea surrounding the island. You can go snorkeling and diving to enjoy the impressive marine diversity. If you wish to stay on land, there is a cave in the enormous black rock that covers the entire island which you could explore. This is the perfect place for you if you wish to enjoy being around caves and coral reefs but do not want to go to noisy and crowded islands.

So go ahead and plan a vacation to any of these islands. Discover nature’s mesmerizing hidden treasures!!!
