Bell’s palsy is a condition in which the seventh cranial nerve is damaged due to which the muscles present in one side of the face becomes weak or paralyzed.   • Surgical Intervention: One of the surgical procedure is to open the bony passage through which the facial nerve passes as this helps to relieve pressure. This type of surgery is controversial and is rarely recommended. Plastic surgery may be recommended to make your face look better.

  • Application of moist heat: To relieve pain, apply a wash cloth that is soaked in warm water on the face several times a day.
  • Almonds: Small pieces of almond fruit is added to a glass of milk every day can strengthen the nervous system.
  • Bishop weed: These fruits of bishop weed is wrapped in piece of cloth and is a very simple remedy to prevent attacks of bell’s palsy.
  • Olive oil: Massage the face with olive oil especially the side that is effected as this will help the muscles gain its flexibility.
  • Rest: Take enough of rest and do not do stressful or strenuous activities as this can worsen the condition.
