Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder – Treatment, Prevention of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neuro developmental problem where the child has problems with attention or concentration on activities that need mental reasoning or effort. They are mainly differentiated by the following characteristics impulsivity, hyperactivity and inattention. Therapy for this disorder may be the use of medication, adjustments in day to day activities and behavioral therapy. Research done in the United States indicate that around 8-10% of children fall under the criteria of ADHD.

Medical Treatment

  • Doctor may prescribe stimulant and non- stimulant drugs for curing ADHD.

  • If you let people know you are suffering from ADHD, they may understand you better and improve your relationships.
