Semicircular canals: It acts as a balancing organ.

- Vestibular Neuritis
Acoustic neuroma: It might a slow growing non-cancerous tumor. It might develop in the ear canal.
Labyrinthitis: It is the most important infection which affects the inner ear. It is also called otitis interna. It is an infection which affects the inner ear. It might create inflammation in the inner ear. It might cause weakness and giddiness. This infection might last for two to three weeks. It might get alright by itself.
Labyrinthitis might be two types. Bacterial labyrinthitis and viral labyrinthitis. It might cause loss of hearing. It might be the result of an allergy, head injury, stress etc.
Vestibular Neuritis: Neuritis is the inflammation of the nerve. It affects the vestibulo-cochlear nerve which connects the ear to the brain. The person might feel difficulty to balance, hearing loss, dizziness etc. The other symptoms and difficulties include vomiting, blurred vision and nausea.
These problems might be treated with the help of medications like benadryl, antiviral drugs, steroids and antiviral drugs and vestibular rehabilitation exercises.
Inner ear problems are mostly affected by bacteria. It might affect only one ear.
Inner Ear Problems Symptoms
The inner ear problems symptoms might be different from person to person.

- Giddiness and difficulty to balance
- Ringing in the ear
- Cracking or clicking sensation in the ear
- Blurred vision with dizziness
- Neck pain, headache stiffness in the leg
- Excess tiredness

- heat and cold intolerance
- flu-like symptoms
Facts about the symptoms of Acoustic Neuroma: Diagnose of Acoustic Neuroma is not easy, because the symptoms of this disease are similar to the symptoms of middle ear problems. The techniques of diagnoses for the symptoms of this inner ear problem are Ear exams, hearing tests and scans. The tumor when small should be removed by either surgery or radiation. If it grows large, then it can touch the brain which is life threatening.
Exclusive symptoms of Labyrinthitis: Abnormal sensation of movement, Dizziness, Loss of balance, vomiting, ringing in one ear, hearing loss and involuntary eye movements. Tests like EEG, CT scan and MRI of head, hearing tests and wraming and cooling of the ear with water can distinguish the symptoms from the causes.
Pssible cuases of Vestibular Neuritis: The exact mechanism by which the nerve connecting the inner ear to the brain gets infected is not known. However, a viral infection of this nerve or the condition of Labyrinthitis are believed to be the cuases of Vestibular Neuritis.
