This might give new expectations to a number people infected with HIV. The vaccine is developed by the scientists at the NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases).
HVTN 505 study
The HVTN stands for the National institute of HIV Vaccine Trials Network. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases have conducted the study. This is in association with National Institutes of Health.
The exploratory study identified 300 individuals who have shown positive reactions to the vaccine. The study in U.S. included 1,350 men who are tested HIV-negative who are between the age of 18 and 45.

The vaccine claims to decrease the virus accumulation in the blood of the affected person. In this way the vaccine helps the person to live more.
