Causes Of Anxiety

Anxiety is considered as an automatic alarm of the body to prepare for some stressful situation. It is the body’s natural response for facing the danger. Anxiety helps us in staying alert, focused and also motivates us to solve the problems.

Although anxiety is good for us but sometimes when it crosses the line and becomes constant and starts hindering your activities then it results in anxiety disorders.

Causes Of Anxiety:
There are many causes which can result in anxiety. Some of them are:

  • Events Of Childhood: If the child has very strict or perfectionist parents and child could never be able to meet their expectations then he or she might react with panic attacks or anxious behavior.
  • Insomnia: It has been found that insomnia can be one of the causes for depression and anxiety. Lack of sleep can even result in anxiety disorders.
  • Stress: Anxiety can be a result of some stressful development in the life. For instance, death of some beloved one, movement of the family or individual across the country or to the other country, divorce of the parents or between two partners.
  • Trauma: Any kind of trauma like witnessing an assault, or a violent attack, some disturbing flashbacks, distressing thoughts etc can result in anxiety which could later transform into anxiety disorder.

What Causes Anxiety:
Anxiety can be a result of any of the following:

  • Heredity: Anxiety can be a result of heredity. If the patient has a background where some one in previous generation has suffered from this disease then it may be so that it has come down in the genes and now patient is the sufferer. Similarly identical and non identical twins also run a risk of suffering from this disease.
  • Chemistry Of The Brain: The chemistry of the brain plays a vital role in anxiety. It has been found that due to medications the chemicals of the brain gets affected which results in anxiety.
  • Personality Of The Individual: It has been found that low esteemed persons or those who can not craps the skills very soon are more prone to anxiety.
