$41 mn for infant-maternal care in India with love from Bill Gates
The Bill & Melinda Gates has awarded a $41 million to an international humanitarian organization for improvement of maternal care and new born babies care in six countries including India.
The grant is awarded to ‘Concerns Worldwide’ over a period of five years for the support and development of testing of delivery of maternal, newborn and child health projects. The fund is expected to utilize for the next six years.
The project is expected to begin in India. The others are Malawi and Sierra Leone. The rest of the three countries are undecided.
The ‘Concern worldwide’ is headquartered in Ireland with a variety of people from different levels of health workers, academic people, civil society, community members and private sector in the three countries. The team will assess the progresses and will evaluate how to reach out and provide help to those in need.
