India’s swine flu rises up to 308
Indian cases of swine flu are slowly soaring up. Eleven new people have been tested positive for H1 N1 influenza. These have lead upto 308 cases of H1N1 influenza in the country.
The eleven new confirmed cases were reported from Delhi (4), Hyderabad (2), Pune (2), Cochin (2) and Chennai (1).
‘So far, 1,595 people have been tested so far, of whom 308 are positive for Influenza a virus,’ a statement issued here said.
The youngest person to test positive for the virus is an 11-month-old baby boy. It’s been noticed that the virus is more widespread in children Who continue to test positive for the flu.
Among the four cases in Delhi, one of the victims is an 18-year-old boy, who returned from Singapore. Two girls in Delhi, 17 years and 12 years got the virus through contact in their school.
In Hyderabad, an eight year old girl was reported with the flu, who traveled from London via Delhi and Jaipur to Hyderabad. The other case in the city is a 25-year-old man who came from London via Dubai.
In Pune, two cases were been reported. A 13-year-old and a 10-year-old-boy got the virus from a person who was already affected with the virus.
An 18-year-old girl, who traveled from from London via Doha to Cochin tested Positive. Similar case was reported from Chennai. a 12-year-old girl, who traveled from London via Frankfurt to Chennai, tested positive for swine flu, officials said here.
